After cooling, processing and shipping vegetables for nearly 30 years, the owners of Watsonville Produce in Moss Landing, CA, have expanded into direct sales of fresh and frozen produce through the creation of Muzzi Family Farms LLC.
Muzzi Family Farms recently opened a sales office in Salinas, CA, and will team with D’Arrigo Bros. of California, effective April 1, on a deal to use the D’Arrigo cooler on Harris Road in Salinas.
“We are looking forward to working with the Muzzi team, as both families have worked together in the past and we share the same commitments to providing safe and healthy products to our customers,” Chad Amaral, vice president of sales operations at D’Arrigo Bros. of California, said in a press release.
Muzzi Family Farms has state-of-the-art fresh processing facilities in Moss Landing, CA, and Yuma, AZ. It is also a managing partner for Blue Ribbon Frozen Foods LLC in Watsonville, CA.
Muzzi Family Farms’ fresh produce offerings include washed, cleaned and bagged spinach, arugula and spring mix. Its frozen products are IQF conventional and organic spinach and kale, along with conventional Bell peppers and brussels sprouts.
