Muzzi Family Farms, headquartered in Salinas, CA, has added three new members to its sales team: Tom Cornwell, Lauren Martinez and Jill Lenz.
Cornwell, a Salinas Valley native, has been in the produce business for 25 years and has held various positions throughout his career and is now handling some of Muzzi’s Fresh sales.Cornwell Starting out as a field inspector, his past job titles include purchasing manager for Markon, a buyer for Pro-Act, and sales and commodity manager at both Dole and T&A. Cornwell has spent the last seven years on the sales staff at Andrew Smith Co.
Martinez is a sales assistant and handles marketing for Muzzi Family Farms. Born and raised in Monterey County,Martinez she joins the Muzzi team after eight years of sales and marketing experience with J. Crew Inc. Martinez was a store director and managed several stores in the Southwest during her time with J. Crew.
Lenz, also a Salinas native, joined the sales staff at Muzzi Family Farms in April.Lenz She has 22 years of experience in the produce industry and has held various sales positions in her career. Her previous positions include being the outside buyer at Fresh Express and food service sales at T&A. Most recently Lenz has spent the last 10 years of her career at Classic Salads, where she sold foodservice and retail leafy green products.
The Muzzi family has been involved in the produce industry for over 50 years in growing, harvesting, processing, cooling and shipping operations, and in 2012 started Muzzi Family Farms to handle sales of its fresh and frozen vegetable products. The company sells fresh, washed and bagged leafy greens, such as spinach, arugula, kale, spring mix, and IQF frozen spinach, kale, Swiss chard, Bell peppers and Brussels sprouts.
